Yes, I find all of these quotes interesting at the very least. You may also find them to be ingenious, iffy, intimate, intriguing and/or informative.
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened"
Anatole France
"Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier."
Mother Teresa
"Blessed are those who have earned the love of an old dog."
Author Unknown
"So, how's that workin' for ya?"
my sister
"People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you have anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway."
Mother Teresa

E is for Evelyn's Baskets
Evelyn's Basket's of Love and Life are ecumenical, empowering, effective, enabling, equalizing and an enduring gift. My friends, Joe and Jane, have a mission! They provide families in Guatemala a basket full of everything they need to nurture infants born with cleft lip/palate. Not only are these babies cared for, but Joe and Jane talk with the families about the stigma associated with cleft lip/palate and provide the money needed for corrective surgery. The baskets are named in honor of Joe and Janes's granddaughter, Evelyn, who was born with a cleft lip/palate. Pink is the color associated with cleft lip/palate and, as love and life would have it, Evelyn's favorite color. $30 from the purchase of the Sterling Lips and Pink Glass Necklace will go to Evelyn's Basket's of Love and Life. To learn more about this mission, go to wwww.evelynsbaskets.org.

D is for Dolly
My guide dog, Dolly, is delightful, dexterous, durable, devoted, darling, dynamic, demure, dear and knows how to play Duck, Duck, Goose. She is an Australian Shepherd, and her coat description is Blue Merle which is the combination of black, white, gray and brown. I got Dolly 5 1/2 years ago at Southeastern Guide Dogs (guidedogs.org) in Palmetto, FL. What a truly awesome experience that was! I spent the month, well almost the entire month, of August 2004 in training with her. The hurricanes were so numerous and nasty, we were sent home early. Anyway, Dolly knew over 40 commands so I had a lot to learn! In addition we celebrated her 2 yo birthday together down there. How about that for a brilliant dog! I could go on and on and on about Dolly..........just ask me a question, any question. She is one of the absolute best things in my life!

B is for Brainstorm
Inspired by Kate (The Clock Talked Loud), the following are some of the beautiful, bold, bodacious, belligerent, bust-a-gut or bewidering, but all beloved by me quotes I've had the good fortune to run across.
"A mutt is couture--the only one like it in the world, and made especially for you."
Isaac Mizrahi
"May those who love us, love us
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts;
And if He doesn't turn their hearts
May He turn their ankles
So we'll know them by their limping"
an Old Gaelic Blessing
"I am Bord!!!!!!!!!!!!"
a note passed by my son at 5 yo while sitting in church
"Blessed are Women whose hearts and souls are joined together by laughter and tears for they shall be known as SISTERS"
a plaque in a catalog
"May the light always find you on a dreary day.
When you need to be home may you find a way.
May you always have courage to take a chance.
And never find frogs in your underpants."
an anonymous Scandinavian
"While I admire the glass is half full type...I'm comfortable with the fact my glass will always have a slow and steady leak."
Erin Smith
"Every boy should have two things: a dog, and a mother willing to let him have one."
Anonymous
That's all for now. Follow me to C what's next.

A is for Anne
Anne is amazing, attentive, amiable and able to jump tall buildings in a single bound! Maybe the last one is slightly exaggerated, but Anne is awesome. She makes beautiful scarves for her madeforme shops at madeitmyself.com, artfire.com and etsy.com. You can find lovely crocheted jewelry there too. In addition she does fabulous (just look at mine) banners and avatars in her myhelpinghands shops.
Now that we've established how creative and skilled she is at scarves, jewelry, banners and avatars, you must know she is my cyber hero. I am new to using a computer and online shops, and she has helped me countless times. It is so appropriate to break in my blog and start the new year praising a talented artist, new friend and just plain awesome woman!

Can you hear me now?
Thanks to my friend, Gabrielle of Gabs Bags on Made It Myself, I am blogging for the first time! So now I will mention my online jewelry shops - madeitmyself.com/user/london.aspx , outtasight.artfire.com , outtasight.etsy.com - in hopes that all my readers out there will visit. The Made It Myself and Artfire shops have the most listings. Finally, for fear I will start talking about chapped lips or something, I'm signing out.
